John Haggerty swore that he had seen thee best place to shoot a band photo at on his train ride to work and that it was in the South Loop. Well we had to figure out who owned the land,…..turns out it was some defunct railroad….but they still had an office and we got permission to do the shoot. I got the idea to have a guy rising out of the swamp and i went to my dad’s sheet metal shop and grabbed welding goggles and hat, gloves and quickly made a backpack out of some sheetmetal and a rubber hose. The spear was a piece of copper pipe with a plumb bob attached to one end giving it a pointy look. The place was laden with standing old water and algae. There were these cool train trestles made of concrete and rusty steel all over the place. Got some good shots though. – Jeff Pezzati
